All Are Welcome

Truth and Justice Vermont
(an organization founded within the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert)

As people of faith and moral values, we invite ALL to join us in:

· Engaging in the political process in a nonpartisan way to
defend our US Constitution and promote democracy

· Working with empathy and courage to relieve the suffering of the mistreated,
marginalized, and oppressed

· Working to reconcile differences among various factions of our democracy
that all may enjoy the rights promised to us in our Constitution

Mission Statement of Truth and Justice Vermont
“A nonpartisan group in defense of our US Constitution”

We seek to build awareness of social and environmental injustices, to provide a haven for resistance, and make sure that ALL are truly welcome in our community and our nation.

Faith, principles, and moral ethics compel us to respond to the suffering and cruelty we see around us today.

Our Vision

Empowering more Davids to face today’s Goliaths

  • Aware of today’s social and environmental injustices, we support people and leaders who summon the courage to act to correct these injustices.

  • We stand against lies and misleading (distorted) information and we stand up for truth and fact-based information.

  • We may not always agree on all issues, but we support respectful dialogue about solutions to our nation’s complex problems while respecting individuals and their rights.

ALL are welcome to join the dialogue and to unite to peacefully protest the cruelty and rhetoric that divide us.

Politics involves seeking to meet the needs of all people; partisanship seeks to meet the needs of only a select few. So we are willing to engage in politics, not partisanship.

Our Website

To advance our vision, we have created this website where people may:

  • Find and share resources that inform and promote the above purposes

  • Find events where people may participate in defending and promoting the rights enumerated in the constitution, and meet other like-minded people

  • Learn of gatherings where people of a variety of faith expressions can come together to be grounded in our shared vaues of truthfulness, justice, empathy, and compassion

  • Learn of classes, seminars and other events where people on a range along the political spectrum can come together to listen, understand, and find common ground
